Skip the delivery and the waiting. This is our simplest and most relaxing rental, just show up, grab your kayak, and launch. We keep our highest quality gear at this location, comfortable kayaks with strong back support, premium paddles, and comfortable life jackets ready at the water behind the Seven Mile Grill.

This is also our earliest and latest access location. We open at sunrise so you can get on the water earlier than any other rental area, and you can begin your rental as late as 8 pm. If you launch after sunset you will need a headlamp, either bring your own or rent one from us. At this location only we also offer underwater lights with battery packs, allowing you to see fish and marine life beneath your kayak during night paddles.

You launch directly into shallow, clear water surrounded by small islands. Within about a ten minute paddle you can reach Fanny Key, and from there you have multiple other islands to circle, explore, and stop at along the way. The protected water makes this an easy and laid back paddle that almost anyone can enjoy.

This is also one of the best wildlife viewing areas we offer. The bird rookeries attract constant activity overhead, the grass flats hold rays, fish, and other marine life below, and the Seven Mile Bridge structure concentrates schools of fish. Every direction you paddle feels different, so you can wander without needing a strict route.

You are located right next to the Seven Mile Grill if you want food or drinks before or after paddling, and Wet Willy’s Water Sports is next door if you want to add a jet ski ride to your day. The area is also a beautiful sunset spot and gives you access to the Gulf side waters of Marathon.

We have a dedicated kayak launch, secure storage area for your belongings, and picnic tables so you can relax before or after your paddle.
