This is a guided Manatee Search Tour and is offered as a private tour only, with a minimum of four people. The tour may be done by kayak, paddleboard, or a combination of both.

The tour departs from Sombrero Beach, paddles through Sister Creek, and continues into Boot Key Harbor. This is a one way route, about three miles total, with a take out at the end.

Because this is a one way tour, it does not return to the launch point. At the end of the tour, you will need transportation back to your vehicle at Sombrero Beach. We can help arrange an Uber or taxi at the take out, but the ride cost is not included and must be paid by your group. If we order the ride on your behalf, your group must reimburse us for the full cost.

This tour is focused on searching for manatees in the canals and sheltered areas along the route. We use passive observation only, we may observe manatees from close proximity but we never touch, chase, or interfere with them.

Manatee sightings are not guaranteed. Sometimes you may only catch a glimpse, sometimes they may linger nearby, and sometimes we do not see any at all.
